The Buffalo Soldier Museum was sadly left off of last week’s Scavenger Hunt of Museum District 2, but not because of it’s lack of content. The BSNM contains an The BSNM contains an awe inspiring collection of items that span from the Civil War to Vietnam.The purpose of this museum is to honor the brave African American men and women who fought for our country. I cannot rave enough about this museum. I think it is such an honor that Houston is home to it, and it reflects how far our country has come...and how far it has to go.

No Scavenger Hunt this week, instead we’re going to play an iSpy game using the BSNM’s Tech Wall.

Audience: Children/Adults

Buffalo Soldiers have fought in every US war since the Civil War

Price: Free, if you enter the museum between 1pm and 5pm on Thursday. The rest of the week it is $10 per adult, and $5 per student/child/military/over 60, children under 5 are free

Parking: There is a free parking lot in front of the museum, 3816 Caroline St.

Time to Complete: 30 minutes for the iSpy game, 1-2 hours if you decide to tour the entire museum

The building used to be home to Houston's Light Brigade and was later used by Houston Community College
